Frequently Asked Questions

Is Plains Removals the right removalist for my relocation?

That depends - here's why:

We specialise in longer distance removals (intrastate moves and interstate moves) with large loads.

If you are moving locally (within the same town/city) or you only need to move a handful of items, then we are probably not the best fit for your removal.

I have stairs, will this cost extra?

In most cases, yes this will incur an additional charge. Please advise us of any access issues when submitting your enquiry, both at the current property and the location you are moving to.

Access issues include:

  • Stairs/lift
  • Steep driveway
  • Whether you’re in an apartment building
  • Overhanging trees, etc

What locations do you provide removalist services in?

Plains Removals specialise in interstate and long-distance removals anywhere in Queensland and New South Wales, including Baradine. Whether you’re moving from Dubbo to Bundaberg, Grafton to Kyogle, Toowoomba to Lismore, our team is on hand to provide you with a friendly, efficient and professional removalist service.

Is my antique/expensive furniture safe with Plains Removals?

Our professional team has many years of experience in safely and efficiently transporting antique and precious furniture. Our trucks are equipped with plenty of top quality packing materials to ensure your items are well protected and secure during the move.

Once we have reached your new home, our removalists will carefully bring your furniture in and put it in place for you.

Is there anything we can do to prepare for our removalists?

To ensure a smooth move with minimal delays, it is essential to have all small items already boxed and all furniture, including drawers, cabinets, shelves and fridge/freezer empty when the truck arrives.

Our professional Baradine removalists will usually load square furniture into the truck first, followed by boxes.

We also recommend that you label your boxes so that it is easy to identify which room they should go in.

How long should we book our move in advance?

To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking our Baradine movers at least two or three weeks in advance.

Why Choose Us For Your Baradine Move

The fleet of Plains Removal trucks parked at the depot.

Family Owned & Operated

Your move, from quoting to completion, will be in the hands of the owners of the business.

It will be the responsibility of the business owners to carry out all loading, driving and unloading.

This ensures consistently high standards of service, which in turn leads to great confidence in the quality of your moving experience.

Clean, well provisioned trucks

You can be sure the truck which arrives on moving day will be clean, presentable, and importantly there will be an abundance of packing on board - enough for any move.

This means in practice that everything which needs protective coverings will be packed safely and securely during your removal.

Any necessary trolleys and equipment to satisfactorily complete your move will also be included.

Arrival On-Time & Price As Quoted

Punctuality is important to us. If we tell you a time for your removal, that is when we will be there.

At Plains, we might ask for a few more details before we quote, but this is aimed at being confident in our quoted price.

If your inventory is accurate, your price will not change from the quote.

This means both the customer and Plains Removals can rely on that initial quote.

Should there be a change in your list of items, please let us know before moving day.

Door to door removals on one truck

Unless you require storage, we will deliver your belongings on the same truck we collect them, and we will go directly from pick up to delivery.

Unlike many other removalists, we do not run the business on a warehousing model (where various jobs are brought back to base, then sent out together).

There are many advantages to this, including:

  • No loss of items in the changeover.
  • Shorter delay between load and unload (usually we go directly to unload).
  • Less handling of your contents means less opportunity for damage.
  • The same workers are loading and unloading the truck.
