How long should we book in advance?
At least two to three weeks is advisable.
What if it is raining on the day of our move?
On the rare occasion there is rain, we will wait for the storm to pass before proceeding with the removal.
Will you put the boxes in the rooms where they belong in the new house?
Yes we can do that.
Can we leave the draws of our bedroom furniture full?
All furniture should be empty and all contents boxed in securely closed boxes.
This makes the job quicker and safer for the removalists and is much safer for your posessions.
Can we leave our fridge/freezer full during the move?
No, these need to be emptied into either eskies, or Styrofoam boxes.
We have stairs at our address, will this cost us extra?
In most cases, yes. When we first hear from you, please notify us of any access issues to your property - ie stairs, steep driveway, overhanging trees, etc
We have some expensive/antique/polished pieces of furniture, will it be safe with Plains Removals?
We have plenty of top quality packing on the trucks, and have been moving antique and precious furniture for almost 40 years.
Is there anything we can do to get ready for your company?
It is essential to a smooth move that all small items are boxed. All furniture should be empty when the truck arrives.
In most cases, square furniture will be loaded first, then boxes.
I got quote from another company that is cheaper, can you match it?
Our policy is best price, first time. We pride ourselves on our work, and do not price match.
Sometimes we'll be cheaper than other companies, occasionally more expensive, but our initially quoted price is the best price we can offer.
We are relocating to Sydney, and wonder whether you do door-to-door?
Yes, we move to Sydney and collect from Sydney. It doesn't matter if you have one piece, or your whole houseful, we move you door to door, and place your furniture where you want it.
